“Volatility in Central Africa: Addressing the M23 Resurgence and the Deepening Crisis in the Eastern DRC.”
Chairs
Helloo Delegates, My name is Yousef Awwad, and I am honored to chair the United Nations Security Council. I graduated from Saint Joseph Seminary and High School, and I began my MUN journey in ninth grade. Over the years, this experience has helped me grow as a thinker, a speaker, and a leader, and it has shown me the impact thoughtful debate can have.
The Security Council is a place where every voice matters, where ideas shape outcomes, and where boldness and strategy are essential. I encourage you to come prepared, stay engaged, and bring your best thinking to the table.
I look forward to meeting each of you and witnessing the energy, creativity, and leadership you bring. Approach this committee with confidence and determination, and make the most of this opportunity to challenge yourself, collaborate with others, and create meaningful solutions together.
Hi delegates, my name is Raji, and I am honored to be your chair for JOSMUN 2026! My MUN journey has challenged me in ways I did not expect, from struggling in my first debates to learning how to think critically under pressure. Those challenges shaped the way I am today. As your chair, my goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable speaking, asking questions, and pushing yourselves beyond your limits. Growth in MUN comes from stepping outside your comfort zone. I look forward to seeing the confidence and creativity you bring to this committee
