"Combating the Rise of Gender Apartheid in Restrictive Regimes"
Chairs
Hello delegates, I’m Cynthia, your chair for the UNWOMEN committee.
I started MUN in the 10th grade, too scared to speak in front of a room of people, my voice too low to be heard, and my body trembling.
By time and by determination, I started getting better and more confident. As my journey progressed, I participated in more conferences, met new people, learning more about MUN than I ever thought I would. And here I am, today, after two years, chairing this amazing committee
I'm so excited to see you in action, be ready to fight for women’s rights and wrongs too!!
My name is Sami, and I am honored to serve as a Chair in JOSMUN 2026. With strong MUN experience and a commitment to fair, organized debate, I aim to create a productive and welcoming committee environment. I look forward to guiding delegates toward meaningful discussions and successful resolutions.
For the past three years, MUN has been a journey that has shaped me far beyond what I ever expected. The debates, the diplomacy, and the countless moments shared with people who share the same passion have left a deep mark on who I am. MUN taught me how to speak with confidence, how to listen with intention, and how to grow through every challenge placed before me. It has become a space where I discovered my voice, my strengths, and my ability to connect with others. This experience means more to me than just conferences and resolutions it represents growth, purpose, and unforgettable memories. I hope to give delegates the same chance to feel inspired, supported, and transformed the way MUN has transformed me.
