Wars, Conflicts, instability and a long list to go. That’s why JOSMUN is here. Where silence turns into speeches, ideas into diplomacy, and debates into change.

As the Secretary-General of JOSMUN 2026, I wholeheartedly stand where voices rise, perspectives clash, and future leaders learn that the world is not shaped by those who stay silent, but by those who dare to speak.

It is with great honor to invite and welcome you to my school's first ever MUN conference. I can't wait to see you all, hear your astute ideas, and feel your passion, your energy, and your MUN versions.

Sama Daher

Hi everyone! My name is Sama Daher, and I’m the Assistant Secretary-General at JOSMUN 2026. My MUN journey started with curiosity, but it quickly became something I truly grew passionate about.

Throughout the conferences and committees I’ve taken part in, MUN has pushed me to become more confident, think critically, speak up, and see the world from perspectives different from my own. Along the way, I’ve met amazing people and learned that MUN is about so much more than speeches and resolutions—it’s about the connections, experiences, and ideas you take with you.

As your ASG, I’ll be here to support you, guide you, and hopefully make your JOSMUN experience one you’ll always remember. I can’t wait to meet you all, see what you bring to your committees, and watch your voices turn into action. Welcome to JOSMUN 2026!

Hello everyone! I’m Mayam Kassem, the Assistant Secretary-General of JOSMUN 2026

Being part of JOSMUN has been an incredible journey, especially because I have the privilege of working alongside an amazing team whose dedication and passion make every challenge worthwhile.

As you prepare for JOSMUN, don’t worry about delivering the perfect speech or getting every point right. The moments you’ll remember most won’t be the mistakes or the awards,they’ll be the friendships you build, the confidence you gain, the late night preparations, and the memories you create along the way.

So come prepared, be confident, embrace every moment, and make the most of this experience. I can’t wait to meet you all at JOSMUN 2026

Rawi Jahshan

It is heart-warming to sit back and reflect on everything I have experienced throughout my years in MUN. I always loved to speak, but at first, I never had the courage to actually do it, until debating and MUN entered my life. I was empowered. I was allowed to express myself, no, taught to express myself in ways I had never imagined possible. That feeling you get when you finally take the chance, when you step up, when you lead the way for others to follow, that indescribable rush has guided me throughout my entire MUN journey.

Ever since my first speech, when my heart was beating faster than the expansion of a supernova, I realized that I was utterly terrified, but also completely alive. MUN gave me a life I never expected to live and surrounded me with people I never imagined I would one day call my best friends.

Co-founding JOSMUN was my way of giving back to the MUN community, the same community I fell in love with as a ninth grader. It was an opportunity to pour years of MUN experience and twelve years of growing up at this school into a vision greater than ourselves: creating a space where delegates could find their voices, take their chances, and grow just as I did.

Today, I am proud to watch that vision continue through a new generation. Teams may change, but the reason JOSMUN was created remains the same. I still see a part of myself in every delegate who is terrified to raise their placard but chooses to do it anyway. I want for them what I have always wanted for myself: the very best. I hope JOSMUN 2026 becomes exactly that.

Loor Shaheen

Four years ago, I stood before a committee scared, nervous, and unsure of how to deliver a speech. After the closing ceremony, I got on the bus convinced that this would be my first and last experience with MUN. However, seeing how happy my classmates were alongside the other delegates made me realize that I had been looking at MUN from the wrong perspective. I should have understood that MUN is about learning, debating, meeting new people, and, most importantly, having fun. So, I went home and decided not to give up.

With determination and hard work, I completely changed the way I viewed MUN, until I eventually fell in love with it and its community. MUN allowed me to grow, learn, and become a more educated, confident, and happy person. It also introduced me to many wonderful people whom I now consider some of my closest friends.

Co-founding JOSMUN was my way of giving back to the community that had given me so much. Our vision was to create a space where delegates could grow, express themselves creatively through debate, form meaningful connections, and discover everything MUN had once helped me discover within myself.

Today, I am proud to see a new team carry that vision forward. To every delegate, and especially to those attending their first conference, I ask only that you learn from my mistake, do not arrive expecting yourself to be perfect. Come ready to improve, debate, meet people, and have fun. You may leave having discovered something that changes your life, just as I did.
